the last day of the term, we had founder's day mass. it was too sleepy to control my head from dropping. followed by that, they gave out awards, etc. lastly, and sadly, the school bid farewell to old Mr Lau Tuan Kiat. he was my Mathe teacher since Sec 2. this year, due to his retirement, he our class had 2 Mathe teachers; young Lau and old Lau-thats him.
old Lau had teached for 35 years, the one teacher that comes to school to teach every single day, rain or shine, even when he is not feeling well. the teacher that pop panadol pills and medicine everyday. the teacher that forever leaves his left hand at the back of his back while writing on the blackboard. the teacher that walks slowly without moving both his hands at the side. the teacher that scolds "stupid pencil", "stupid marker" when they have no ink. the teacher that we will stop to say "hi Mr Lau! (:" when we stumble into him. the teacher that starts the class by greetiing us "GIRLS" in his very unique old shaky voice. the teacher that never give up on you. the teacher that keeps explaining till you understand. the teacher that hurries us to finish up doing the questions so that he can continue.
holding on to the mike, he said: "GIRLS, YOU ARE SPECIAL. WHAT I CAN DO, YOU CAN TOO." something like that, the moment i saw him on the stage before uttering a word, my eye turned teary. while he was saying that, i ant take it anymore, it dropped. the teachers sitting at the back of the hall rised and clapped. we all respect him, Mr Lau. yeah, i think its also about time fer him to take a good rest at home. we will miss him, and wish him all the best, staying happy always.
reccess time, was watching basketball game. (: hahaa. later, Rachel, Corissa, Sharon, Bel and me played, we were just shooting balls lah. tried shooting from the free throw line. GOODNESS, THE BALL WENT IN 2 TIMES CONSECUTIVELY!! i was jumping, thats like my first ball in throwing from the free throw line!! gosh, its so amazing asnd finally i did it!! whee!! (: (: (: thats one achievement i take it. hahaa! lunched at tiong, afterwards cheesecake, splendid. (: hair cut tomorrow, at last. its SWIMSUIT MODEL SEARCH now, i shall go. (: gotta plan dinner soon, most probably next week?. yep.
